🥩 Perfect Ribeye Steak
Ingredients
- 1 ribeye steak (1–1.5 inches thick)
- Salt (kosher or sea salt)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil or high-heat oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2–3 garlic cloves, smashed
- 2–3 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring Steak to Room Temperature
- Take steak out of the fridge 30–45 minutes before cooking.
2. Season Generously
- Pat dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper (don’t be shy — ribeye needs it!).
3. Heat the Pan
- Preheat a heavy skillet (cast iron works best) over high heat.
- Add oil and heat until shimmering.
4. Sear the Steak
