Peanut Butter Bars
Ingredients
Base
- 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1½ cups powdered sugar
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Chocolate Topping
- 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
Directions
1. Prepare the Pan
- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Set aside.
2. Make the Peanut Butter Base
- In a large bowl, combine:
- Peanut butter
- Melted butter
- Vanilla (if using)
- Stir until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and graham cracker crumbs.
- Mix until thick and well combined.
3. Press into Pan
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
- Use the back of a spoon or spatula to smooth the top.
4. Make the Chocolate Topping
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter.
- Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth.
5. Assemble
- Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer.
- Spread evenly with a spatula.
6. Chill
- Refrigerate for 1–2 hours, or until fully set.
7. Slice and Serve
- Lift bars out using parchment paper.
- Cut into squares.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.

- If you prefer less sweetness, reduce powdered sugar by ¼ cup.
