A Simple & Delicious Delight
🐟 Ingredients
- 2–4 trout fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Lemon Herb Butter
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp fresh dill or thyme (or ½ tsp dried)
- Pinch of salt
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the lemon herb butter
In a small bowl, mix butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, herbs, and salt until smooth. Set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the trout
Pan-sear (best flavor):
- Pat trout dry and season with salt & pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Place trout skin-side down and cook 3–4 minutes until crispy.
- Flip carefully and cook 1–2 minutes more.
OR Oven-bake:
- Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 10–12 minutes until flaky.
3️⃣ Finish
- Spoon lemon herb butter over hot trout.
- Let it melt into glorious, zesty goodness.
