Crispy Roasted Cauliflower
Ingredients
- 1 large head of cauliflower
- 2–3 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika (or smoked paprika)
- ¼ teaspoon cumin (optional)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley or lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat the Oven
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. Prepare the Cauliflower
- Wash and dry the cauliflower thoroughly (drying is important for crispiness).
- Cut into even bite-sized florets.
3. Season
- Place florets in a large bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil.
- Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cumin.
- Toss well until all pieces are evenly coated.
4. Roast
- Spread cauliflower in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Make sure florets are not crowded (use two pans if needed).
- Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until:
- Edges are browned and crispy
- Centers are tender
5. Add Parmesan (Optional)
- Sprinkle Parmesan over cauliflower during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- Return to oven until cheese melts and turns lightly golden.
6. Serve
- Remove from oven.
