Ingredients
For the biscuits:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)
- 1 egg
For the crab filling:
- 1 cup crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
- 2 tbsp cream cheese
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (optional but amazing)
- Salt & pepper to taste
For the topping:
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
How to Make
1) Preheat
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2) Make the crab filling
Mix together:
- crab meat
- cream cheese
- mayo
- cheddar
- lemon juice
- Old Bay
- salt & pepper
Set aside.
3) Make the biscuit dough
- Mix flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and sugar.
- Cut in cold butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cheddar.
- Add buttermilk + egg and mix until just combined.
4) Assemble the biscuits
- Scoop 2 tablespoons of dough and flatten slightly.
- Add 1–2 tbsp crab filling in the center.
- Top with another scoop of dough and seal edges well.
- Place on baking sheet.
5) Bake
Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
6) Add the cheddar bay topping
Mix melted butter + garlic powder + parsley.
Brush over hot biscuits.
