That combo is often made as a simple herbal/spice decoction — warming, aromatic, and very strong. Here’s a clear, basic way to prepare it safely without turning it bitter.
Cinnamon, Cloves, Garlic, Ginger, Lemon & Onion Boil
Ingredients (basic ratios)
- 1 cinnamon stick (or ½ tsp ground)
- 3–4 whole cloves
- 3–4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1–2 inches fresh ginger, sliced
- ½ medium onion, sliced
- ½ lemon, sliced (remove seeds)
- 4–5 cups water
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a pot with the water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce to a gentle boil or strong simmer.
- Boil 15 minutes uncovered.
- Strain if desired.
How to use
- Drink warm, ½–1 cup at a time
- You can sip it plain or add a little honey after boiling (optional)
Important notes
- This will taste very strong and spicy.
- Don’t boil longer than 15–20 minutes — garlic and cloves can turn bitter.
- If you have stomach sensitivity, start with small amounts.
Storage
- Refrigerate up to 24 hours
- Reheat gently, don’t reboil
If you want it milder, stronger, or adjusted for just 1 cup, tell me and I’ll tweak the ratios.
