🥘 Sausage, Sauerkraut & Potatoes (One-Pot Meal)
Ingredients
- 1 lb sausage (kielbasa, bratwurst, smoked sausage)
- 4 cups potatoes, diced (Yukon gold or red potatoes work best)
- 2 cups sauerkraut (drained)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth (or water)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- 1 tsp caraway seeds (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Brown the Sausage
- Heat oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven.
- Add sausage and cook until browned on all sides (about 5 minutes).
- Remove sausage and set aside.
2. Cook the Potatoes
- In the same pan, add onions and cook until soft.
- Add potatoes and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
