Ingredients
☕ Coffee layer
- 1 ½ cups strong brewed coffee (cooled)
- 2–3 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
🍰 Cream layer
- 3 large egg yolks
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese (room temperature)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
🍪 Assembly
- About 24–30 ladyfinger biscuits
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- Optional: dark chocolate shavings
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the coffee
- Brew strong coffee and let it cool.
- Stir in coffee liqueur (if using).
2️⃣ Make the mascarpone cream
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy (about 3–4 minutes).
- Add mascarpone and mix until smooth.
3️⃣ Whip the cream
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
4️⃣ Assemble the tiramisu
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into coffee (do not soak).
- Line the bottom of a 9×9 inch dish with a layer of ladyfingers.
- Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the biscuits.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining cream.
